With the news of Kon Satoshi's passing I realized I had seen a lot fewer of his works than I'd like (read: just two), so I ended up torrenting Millennium Actress and Paranoia Agent. I also put Millennium Actress on Netflix so I'm going to wait to actually watch it until it comes in, because I want to see it with my parents, but I'd also like to have a copy on my hard drive so I can show my college friends too if I end up enjoying the film (and, honestly, I completely expect to). In non-Kon Satoshi Japanese animated movie news, I also watched Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo/The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and loved it. I was pleasantly surprised that despite the sci-fi premise, it was really just a simple story about growing up. I really appreciate the sort of story that combines fantasy elements with something very personal; it's my favorite kind.

IN TMI NEWS, turns out the rash I have that has been bugging me all summer is hives. I didn't know what hives looked like before now or I might have taken action sooner. So we have scheduled a doctors' appointment tomorrow to see whether it's an allergic reaction to something I've been eating or what.

I also started playing Trace Memory but have gotten barely anywhere in it yet. Just enough to save for the first time. All I can say so far is that I am delighted that the protagonist shares my birthdate. Same year and everything :3
