Walked to GameStop again today, traded in Luminous Arc, Phantom Hourglass, and that dud used controller (:>) for game credit, so that Devil Survivor only cost me five bucks. And Katamari Damacy was sitting right there, used, for fifteen dollars, same way as Shadow of the Colossus last week (must be fate), so I bought that too. Gonna play it first thing tomorrow morning yeeeeah

Devil Survivor: tactics! My favorite thing! I'm not gonna gripe though, it's fun and I like it, though I barely started the first proper day before my DS decided to run out of power. I'm pretty bad at it though. I had to escape from the first available free battle because I was getting my ass kicked (hi I suck at tactics). I didn't find a status screen anywhere so assume your health regenerates after every battle à la TWEWY? Or am I falling into the shortsighted gaming blowhard's trap by drawing that kind of parallel?

I do wish the main character's design wasn't so...well, Minato, though. It's not that I have a real problem with it, it's just that I like to see some variability in MCs. I mean, he even has the same headphone trademark thing going, though the Devil Survivor MC's are so amazingly goofy-looking that I have to stifle a giggle every time I see him. I don't think anybody would ever honestly wear headphones like that. I know they're aiming for unique design, but come on.

Not to say that I don't like him. He just makes me snicker.

Also! My PS2 isn't dead! I tried using Chii's controller with it while we were at Suzie's house and it worked fine. So I really do just have bad luck with controllers. I'm borrowing Chii's until I buy another of my own because he never plays his PS2 and doesn't give a shit. We didn't have anything else to do so Suzie and Chii just mostly watched me play Shadow of the Colossus (because they'd never heard of the game before) and played their own handhelds. I took the opportunity to heartlessly slaughter three in a row, YEEEEEEAH. I'll probably try to tackle the weird skeleton horse crab over the weekend, after I've had my fill of Katamari Damacy and Devil Survivor.

And uh...yep. Oh! I've been doodling lots since I got my tablet. Would you guys be interested in me posting what I crap out or no? Or should I make a separate journal for that? I'm not an arteest in the slightest so don't assume I'm downplaying my talents and expect me to actually produce GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL SPECIMENS OF CREATIVITY or anything. I'd mostly be posting them for constructive criticism. Hell, actually, I'll probably do it whether you like it or not, I don't know why I'm bothering asking you. I've also revived my Tegaki if anyone's interested; I'm at haircuts still.
