Okay guys, those of you on my f-lists with tablets, I am stuck. I'm going to buy a tablet and I can't decide between the Wacom Intuos4 and the Wacom Bamboo Fun. I can afford either one. I'd get the medium size of each so the Intuos4 is roughly $150 more expensive than the Bamboo Fun.
So I guess my question is...what will the Intuos4 give me that is worth $150? I know it's pretty much the best tablet available on the market right now, but I don't really know my way around with graphics programs and I'm really not advanced in drawing, so I'm just concerned that I won't be able to take advantage of many of the Intuos4 features for a while.
On the other hand, I've heard that the Bamboo series has a tendency to flake out, and what if the Intuos4 features are more necessary than I realized? It's mostly things like it's more pressure-sensitive, it can tell when you're drawing on an angle, it has more Express Keys (whatever those are lol, but WHAT IF I NEED THEM), its controls are more customizable etc.
Also if I do end up getting the Bamboo Fun and eventually graduate to Intuos4...that's a lot of money orz. I know I can resell it but...still. I don't like spending more money than I have to. If I get the Intuos4 then I can just keep it forever, or until it dies. But how quickly will it die? And what if I get the Bamboo Fun and it takes me long enough to need to graduate that the added expense isn't really a problem?
ARGH I'M SO STUCK FFFFFFFF. /HAIR TEARING
Right now I'm leaning towards the Intuos4 just because SHINY AWESOME *____* but...money...and necessity...
Also, where could I go for PS2 help? GameStop? I'm unsure if my PS2 is failing or not and I don't really know how to verify that short of spending a shitton of money on controllers. Basically it's just not reading the controller commands. With my first one, the light wouldn't turn on and the PS2 said there was no controller plugged in, so I assumed the controller died like my last one. So I got a new one, the light turned on, I didn't get a warning saying there was no controller in, but it wouldn't register any input. So idk if I have shit luck with controllers or if it's the PS2 itself...the second controller I bought used, but still, that's pretty unlucky.
